Full Description
Palstave with shield pattern decoration, length approximately 15.9cms. Early MBA. Found in 1953 (S1,S2).
Both the Stanch and the Green Dragon (PH) have now gone. A Stanch for the Little Ouse was visible on OS 1:10560 map of circa 1957, although the 1974 1:50000 map (& earlier editions?) marks a Stanch for the Twelve Foot Drain nearby
(Norfolk HER number 5369.)
