Full Description

Manor House. `Early Georgian, of red brick with quoins. Nine bays wide, two-storeyed, with three-bay pediment. Doorway with segmental pediment on brackets. Good interiors. The house was built as the Bury residence of the First Earl of Bristol. It was designed by Sir James Burrough' (S1). April 1990: base of brick wall found below floor level in second room W of main entrance. Excavated and recorded. See (S2) for details.
