Full Description

June 1991: Watching brief and trial trench identified a deep ditch and three shallow ditches and three pits, which are probably all early features. Two possibly later features included two pits, one cutting the earlier ditch and the other cutting an early pit. Two probable postholes and another small pit were recorded. Finds include, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon pottery sherds, as well as several struck flints (S1).
