Full Description

Dec 1991: widespread scatter of worked and heavily burnt flints over an area c 180 x 120m located during fieldwalking survey of preferred new A12 route, using 20m apart transects. Finds listed as 54 flakes, 1 core and scatter of heavily burnt flints (5 retained) and 1(?) small Prehistoric flint gritted sherd. Also 1 Roman body sherd and 1 body sherd Medieval coarse ware (S1).

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on find context (S2).
