Full Description
Church of St John the Baptist. Late C14 font. Fine canopy with crocketted pediment. C19 chancel with good traceried choir stalls and marble altar rail. Roof has principals fully archbraced to collar and diagonal bracing to purlins. Early C14 S doorway. Further details in (S1)(S2). Norman wall fabric (C11/C12) noted during watching brief (S3). Possible in situ Norman door jamb also located in January 1998 (S4).
