Full Description
Circular cropmark, ?ring ditch or circular enclosure, approximately 60m diameter (S1). A circular plantation is marked on OS 1:10560 map provisional edition. A similar site, SUE 003 is in adjacent field.

The circular post medieval plantation boundary described above is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (S2)-(S4) and depicted on historic Ordnance Survey maps (S5). Together with a second circular plantation, SUE 003 111m to the northeast, it formed part of a formal, compartmentalised part of Sudbourne Common, perhaps reflecting the use of the area for shooting in the 19th century (S6).
