Full Description

Church of St Andrew. There are no recorded Domesday churches in the parish of Ilketshall St Andrew but it is thought to be included as one of the five documented churches for the parish of Bungay (S3).
Norman round tower (with later octagonal top) and other works. C13 fragments of carved stone built into base of S chancel buttress. C14 chancel, restored Tudor brick porch. For details see (S1)(S2).
2005: Builders revealed 14th century wall paintings depicting the Wheel of Fortune likely dating to the 1320s.
