Full Description
Water mill shown to SE of former line of Newmarket - Thetford road (S1)(S2).
1964-5: same(?) as that listed as having two wheels, a turbine & 7 pairs of stones (gone in 1965?), and as having a 16 horse power condensing steam engine in 1878 (S4).
Circa 1980: `Also near the bridge are the two buildings which contained the two Barton Watermills'. Also see BTM 019 (S3). See (R1) for details of mill house?
1985/86: One of the mills (or other buildings) may have been affected /destroyed by construction of A11 Barton Mills bypass if not before.
