Full Description
A church is recorded at Westleton in the Domesday survey (note Ipswich and Thetford wares to NW - see WLN 021). 
Church of St Peter.  Consists chancel, nave, S porch, base of W tower and steeple.  Roof thatched. 
Entirely rebuilt circa 1300-1340. 
C15:  Wall crosses chancel. 
1770:  Tower fell in and present tower built on original foundations (S1). 
Also BA bucket urn containing cremation in churchyard - see BA.
2008:An examination of two test pits within the church did not reveal any earlier floor surfaces, just a single fragment of possible medieval floor tile was recovered (S2).
