Full Description

Great House occupied by Robt Pocklington Esq and Park as defined on Hodskinson's 1783 map (S1). House shown at TL 9820 4787 approximately. Presumably present Chelsworth Hall to S post dates this, although said to have been built by Robert Pocklington Esq in circa 1737 (S2), so possibly just inaccurately plotted by Hodskinson. For possible alternative location of early house see CHW 004 & (S2).
