Full Description

Possible subrectangular enclosure within complex of faint cropmarks (S1).

January 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The possible subrectangular enclosure described above was visible within a complex of faint cropmarks of at least one trackway and possible field boundaries, on land to the south of Lodge Road, Walberswick.
They are visible only faintly within geological marks and consequently it was difficult to discern the extent of the archaeological features, particularly the possible pit features. Further cropmarks of field boundaries and trackways which may be related have been recorded separately to the south-west of this site and to the north (SHER WLB 090 and WLB 091).
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 22nd January 2015.
