Full Description

January 1996: Geophysical survey of area of ring ditch (see BA), prior to gravel extraction, located several anomalies. Excavation of these in March/ April 1996 confirmed a PMed date for four features: three cut tree holes and 1 ditch, which cut W side of the earlier ring ditch. Also various metal detected finds of PMed metalwork from CI5 onwards & PMed tile fragments. Details in (S)(S4)
