Full Description
Sept 2004: 5 evaluation trenches (Tr 54-58) in single field prior to dualling of A11 between Barton Mills and Thetford - a number of features, possibly partly related to Roman site ELV 013/059) to West (S1).
Features listed as: possible posthole containing single struck flint from Tr 54; 2 possible stakeholes & 3 poss' postholes, all undated, in Tr 55; a modern (Anti-glider?) ditch in Tr 56; a post hole & 2 possible pits, all undated, in Tr 57; 2 undated linear ditches & 2 possible post holes, all undated, in Tr 58 (S1).
