Full Description

An archaeological evaluation carried out on land at Alexandra House identified three ditches of probable Iron Age date and a post-medieval hedgeline. Two sherds of pottery found within natural cracks in the chalk geology and a third, stratified sherd, dated these features to the Iron Age (S1). Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2010 (S2).
