Full Description
A historic building record was made of 19th century farm buildings at Elm Farm, Helmingham in advance of conversion. The red brick and pan tiled buildings represent a good and largely complete mid 19th century complex, with evidence for early alteration and remodelling. Of particular interest are the cart lodge and granary to the E, with unusual field shelter and feed drop, together with 19th century apotropaic circles and graffiti on a wall adjoining the barn. The range of pig sties is also an unusual survival, although overall the complex does not meet the criteria to recommend listing (S1).
