Group of 17th C agricultural buildings, many of which were rebuilt during the 19th C after a shift from dairying to arable. There are 3 timber-framed and weatherboarded grain barns, each of which have 3 bays and a threshing floor. These were all re-constructed during the 19th C, including the replacement of each of their roofs. Also present is another barn, which appears to have been constructed in 3 separate pahases and is now 6 bays long. There are also a number of stock houses, stables and a cartlodge present within this goroup (S1).

Recorded as part of the Farmsteads in the Suffolk Countryside Project. This is a purely desk-based study and no site visits were undertaken. These records are not intended to be a definitive assessment of these buildings. Dating reflects their presence at a point in time on historic maps and there is potential for earlier origins to buildings and farmsteads. This project highlights a potential need for a more in depth field study of farmstead to gather more specific age data.
