Full Description
2015: Archaeological evaluation and excavation identified a pair of parallel ditches, set five meters apart and similar in profile in fill. The eastern ditch was dated to the Roman period and given the uniform nature of the profiles it is likely the western ditch is of similar date. These features were thought to be a possible droveway and a small boundary ditch. To the east of these features lay a polygonal enclosure. The paucity of the material cultural meant that there was difficulties in dating the feature although it may be of Late Iron Age/Roman date (S1).
Included in the Proceedings of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History annual round up of individual finds and discoveries for 2013 (S2)
