Full Description

2013: Monitoring of footing trenches revealed four wells, clunch building foundations, a clunch-lined cellar and numerous pits of various shapes and sizes. The footings and wellar are likely to relate to buildings extant on the 1880 OS map. Only a single sherd of pottery was recovered, which came from the backfilled cellar and is dated to the 17th century (S1).
