Full Description
2014: Monitoring of three test pits excavated to test the ground at the site revealed a substantial depth of top and subsoil ranging from 1500mm to 1900mm which contained on small medieval sherd and occasional small fragments of Post medieval brick and tile. This depth of overburden perhaps suggesting that the site has been quarried for sand and stone in the past (S1).
