Full Description
January 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
Undated linear and curvilinear ditches, some possible field boundaries and a possible trackway are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1) on land to the east of Dingle Stone House, Dunwich. They were blurred and slightly ephemeral, and the photograph from which they were mapped could not be rectified satisfactorily, so the extent and location of the archaeological features should be noted with caution. There were also a number of geological features present in the area, along with possible agricultural marks, all of which made it difficult to distinguish the archaeological features with confidence.
E. Ford (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 27th January 2015.
