Summary

The cropmarks of possible enclosures and/or boundaries of uncertain date are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Grimston’s Covert. It is feasible that these features relate to medieval to post medieval common/heath-edge enclosures and/or boundaries, although they may be earlier in date.

January 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of possible enclosures and/or boundaries of uncertain date are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2) to the north of Grimston’s Covert. It is feasible that these features relate to medieval to post medieval common/heath-edge enclosures and/or boundaries, although they may be earlier in date.
