Full Description
July 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The site of fragmentary ditches, field boundaries, trackways and two possible square enclosures of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S3).
The lack of relationship with the enclosures and ditches and the surrounding landscape would suggest a pre-medieval date. Given the amount of Roman and Saxon activity in the area, it is possible that at least some of the components date to either period.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 8th July 2015.
