Full Description

November 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The earthworks of an enclosure and wood banks and boundaries of probable medieval to post medieval date are visible on aerial photographs and LIDAR imagery (S1-S2) within Tunstall Forest. A substantial bank and ditch enclosure is located alongside a trackway marked on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map (S3) and this may also be of medieval to post medieval date – although an earlier date is also possible. Boundaries depicted on the Ordnance Survey First Edition map (S3) have generally been omitted from the mapping – unless their inclusion was necessary for providing context for mapped features.
