Summary

The cropmarks of possible rectilinear enclosures and/or fields may be visible on aerial photographs. The area of other possible cropmarks – not mapped due to uncertainty over their origin – has been included in the monument polygon. As suggested for adjacent cropmark site (BAW 097), some of the cropmark mapped could be geological in origin. However other similar cropmarks in this area have been interpreted as being of probable late prehistoric to Roman date, for example BAW 012.

March 2016. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The cropmarks of possible rectilinear enclosures and/or fields may be visible on aerial photographs (S1-S6). The area of other possible cropmarks – not mapped due to uncertainty over their origin – has been included in the monument polygon. As suggested for adjacent cropmark site (BAW 097), some of the cropmark mapped could be geological in origin. However other similar cropmarks in this area have been interpreted as being of probable late prehistoric to Roman date, for example BAW 012.
