Full Description
The green is not visible under the name of Town Green on Hodskinson's map of 1783 (S1). It is likely that the green was previously part of Burton Green (see WTH 029). The green is visible under the name of Town Green by the first edition Ordnance Survey map dated c.1880 (S2). The green remains extant.
