Full Description

Site of a former green visible on Hodskinson's map of 1783 (S1). The the area is known as Banyard's Green on the first edition Ordnance Survey map dated to c.1880 although it may have been already enclosed by this date (S2). The area is still known as Banyard's Green. The exact extent of the green is unclear.
