Full Description

July 2017. 'Brecks from Above' and Breckland National Mapping Programme.
Boundaries and trackways of unknown date are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (such as S1-S2) and on imagery from a recent lidar survey (S3). Some appear to correspond or relate to features depicted on historical maps, such as the Ordnance Survey 1st edition 6 inch map (S4), and these are likely to be of post medieval date. An earlier origin for some of the features, however, is plausible. The site includes areas of braided trackways at TL 8002 8668 and TL 8069 8736, which have been mapped by extent.
S. Tremlett (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 6th July 2017.
