Summary

A series of earthwork banks of a possible post medieval date are seen as earthworks on visualised lidar data. The banks most likely relate to post medieval boundary banks or possible post medieval tree planting. One of the banks has a small embanked pit on top of the bank which may have related to possible extraction or to a group of possible Second World War pits to the west (WSW 217). The banks are not seen on the Frist Edition Ordnance Survey map.

December 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A series of earthwork banks of a possible post medieval date are seen as earthworks on visualised lidar data (S1). The banks most likely relate to post medieval boundary banks or possible post medieval tree planting. The bank located at TL 8195 7028 has a small embanked pit on top which may have related to possible post medieval extraction or to a group of possible Second World War pits to the west (WSW 217). The banks are not seen on the Frist Edition Ordnance Survey map (S2).
