Full Description

2021: An archaeological evaluation identified evidence of medieval and post medieval activity. Three ditches were revealed of medieval to post medieval date and one remains undated and might represent agricultural activity. In addition, natural hollows infilled with colluvial deposits were identified across the site which contained a small quantity of abraded medieval pottery likely representing small-scale manuring activity in the medieval period. One abraded and residual piece of Roman pottery was also found in one of these colluvial deposits. (S1)
