`The ROYAL CHARLOTTE, -, from Shields for Plymouth, is lost.' (1)

`Yarmouth, Dec. 6. In the hard gale of wind on Friday morning last, the following ships were driven ashore: At Lowestoft and Kessingland...ROYAL CHARLOTTE, Robert Bear master, with coals, of and for Plymouth...' (2)

Source (3) derives the position of loss as `on the coast of Norfolk' since the account in (1) is sandwiched between losses in Yarmouth Roads and on the coast of Norfolk; and the date of loss as the LL reporting date of 13-DEC-1763.
