Full Description

`Yarmouth, 1st February -...from Newcastle to London, was driven on shore yesterday on Kissingland Beach; crew saved, and cargo expected to be saved.' (2)

`Yarmouth 2nd February -...on shore on Pakefield Beach, and the OAK, Warren, from Newcastle to this port, on shore on Palling Beach, have both broken up. Wind E blowing fresh, with snow.' (3)

`The AURORA, of and for London, Dunn, from Newcastle, was driven on Kessingland Beach; crew saved; cargo expected to be saved.' (4)

`Yarmouth, Feb. 2. The AURORA, Dunn, from Newcastle to London, on shore on Pakefield Beach, and the OAK...have broken up.' (4)

NB: Source (1) describes the vessel as a collier, with the cargo therefore being coal. This is not made explicit in sources (2) to (4); coal was certainly Newcastle's chief export at this period, but is not the only possible cargo.
