`At Pakefield...the SUFFOLK, Maningtree; John Steed, master, from London to Gainsbro' with grocery, stranded and vessel lost, part of the cargo saved.' (1)

`The SUFFOLK, Shad, from London for Gainsborough, went on shore at Sackfield [sic] in Suffolk the 19th inst. If the weather proves favourable the ship may be saved.' (2)

`Maningtree' may indicate the vessel belonged to Manningtree on the River Stour.
