1775 wreck of English brigantine which foundered in Corton Road en route from Sunderland to London; a wooden sailing vessel.

`Yarmouth, Nov.16: In the violent gale of wind at NW on Tuesday last, the following ships have been lost on this coast...The brigantine CONWAY, of and from Sunderland for London, burthen 200 tons, Thomas Bower master, foundered in Corton Road; two men lost.' (1)
