`The THOMAS AND WILLIAM, Patterson, from Petersburgh to Bristol, is lost on Leostoff.' (1)

`Yarmouth, Jan.22: On Thursday morning last, in a hard gale of wind, the following ships were lost, or stranded, on the coasts of Norfolk and Suffolk, viz...the ship THOMAS AND WILLIAM, of Scarborough, burthen 180 tons, William Loft master, bound from Petersburgh to Bristol, laden with iron and deals, was, in hard blowing weather, drove on shore at Lowestoffe...where she now lies...great part of the cargo of the THOMAS AND WILLIAM of Scarbro', is saved.'
