Full Description

1814 wreck of English cargo vessel which foundered after grounding on the Newcome Sand. En route from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Plymouth with coal, she was a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`The MOURICK, Dunn, of and from Newcastle to Plymouth, struck on the Newcombe Sand on Friday, and sunk in deep water. Crew saved.' (1)

Source (4) is virtually identical to source (1), adding that the vessel was "with coals".
