ENGLISH SLOOP, 1833
Status: Casualty
`Yarmouth, March 14. On Sunday last the sloop ANN of this port, Charles Balls master, and John Balls owner, was caught in a gale, struck the Stanford, and soon after went to pieces. All the crew were saved, but we regret, for the sake of Mr Balls, who is but a small ship owner, to add, that not a particle of either ship or cargo is preserved.' (1)
