DUTCH CARGO VESSEL, 1764
Status: Casualty
`In the hard gale of wind at SW on Saturday last, the HOUNDRAAGER, of and from Amsterdam, for London, Aldert Inglis, master, laden with wainscot, drove on the Home Sand off Lowestoft, and filled with water; the weather proving fair next day, they endeavoured to tow the ship ashore, but on Tuesday night she beat to pieces. About half the cargo is saved.' (1)
