Full Description

1829 wreck of English craft which grounded en route from Sunderland to London. Subsequently towed off but foundered 2 cables from the shore: a wooden sailing vessel.
Status: Casualty

`Lowestoft, April 13 The BETSEY, Byers, of and for London from Sunderland was assisted off the Newcome Sand this morning but sank two cable's length from shore and will go to pieces.' (1)
