Full Description
Geophysical survey identified anomalies of multiple phases of agricultural activity surrounding a possible coaxial field system or ladder settlement of possible Bronze Age date, however these could also originate from the Iron Age to Medieval period. The field system may connect to a curving trackway to the north, and a possible double-ditched trackway tothe north-east. A possible embankment to the east may form an enclosure or embankment on the slope surrounding the floodplain. These could also relate to a separate phase of activity. Further large field boundaries on distinct orientations were observed over the coaxial system and trackway, their size indicating later dates than the earlier system. Modern agricultural features were also identified (S1).
