Full Description

1974: Small excavation (trench 2.5 by 6m). Ipswich ware - no Middle Saxon features. Two Late Saxon pits, Thetford Ware. Unstratified grey rectangular honestone, probably a coal measure standstone from North or Central England, possibly a glacial erratic (S1).
