Full Description
Moat, rectangular, 72m x 60m. Ditch 1.5m deep (R1), up to 3.50m (S1). 1975 : Break in SW corner may be original. Unoccupied, covered by scrub. Island lower than surrounding ground.
1986 : 'Moat boggy rather than wet. A stretch of water immediately to the W, marked "drain" on the maplet, aligns with the S arm of the moat and may relate to it. Interior and surrounding wood are full of dead elms, some felled. Traces of external bank on N and E' (S1).
Isolated, 170m from parish boundary, 700m from church.
