Full Description

1957-1972: Excavations

Scatter of Mesolithic blades, cores, microliths. Patches or "working areas" of waste blades, etc. Found over whole of the excavated area. A quartzite macehead with hour-glass perforation was found in Saxon sunken floored building 37 (S1). A detailed account of the Mesolithic finds can be found in part 2 of the West Stow report (S2).

Microliths include may rod forms but also scalene triangles and obliquely blunted forms, (S2)
