Full Description
"Seal ring of zinc/brass alloy, hoed up in a field near Burgate Church (a few years ago)". "Seal consists of a mythical crowned bird with initials W (or M) and T (or L). The ring is split open at the shank". Dated to C15 by BM. Purchased from H B Baker, Great Green, Burgate (S1).
Cited map reference, TM 082 756 approximately, is partially in churchyard. TM 081 756 used as central to adjoining field.
