Full Description

Bronze faceted socketed axe with single mouth moulding. Four internal casting seams. Very good condition. Pale/medium brown, length 12.4 cms (S6).
Dates to LBA 2 (S5).
Findspot recorded as TL 689 803 (S7), TL 682 803 (S3)(S9), TL 6824 8032 (S1), TL 6822 8030 (S2)(S6) and TL 6820 8029 (S8). (S1) was taken from (S2), which agrees fairly closely with (S8) and is therefore taken as relatively accurate.
