Monument record SOL 036 - Site of fragmentary field system cropmarks of uncertain date

Please read our .

Summary

Fragmentary cropmarks of uncertain date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. Most are likely to represent field boundaries, although some could be trackways. It is probable that more than one phase is represented; some elements appear to fit the post medieval field pattern, while others cut across it. Some at least are probably continuations of other, more coherent field systems recorded to the east and southeast; some may be contemporary with an enclosure recorded on the northern edge of the site (SHER HRF 004).
