Full Description
February 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The site of a group of World War Two military buildings, possibly largely accommodation, but potentially also operational buildings are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). Large numbers of entrances to sub-surface air raid shelters are also visible – not mapped individually but defined by an ‘extent of area’ polygon.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th February 2014.
