Full Description
May 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The site of a World War Two type 22 pillbox and another structure is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). The second structure is square with a possible associated blast wall and may have been in use as a defensive structure or a check point. It is however visible on an oblique aerial photograph taken in 1928 (S3), indicating that it pre-dates the Second World War, but may have been added to during this period.
S. Horlock (Norfolk Historic Environment Service), 20th May 2014.
