Full Description
Probable oyster pits, of unknown date, are visible behind the sea bank at TM 424564 (S1). The features appear to be cut by what seems to be a straightening of the channel which became Decoy Creek, which is recorded on the Ist Series 1" map published in 1837 (S2) and if the features are oyster pits, their presence behind the sea bank could imply that they predate the current sea bank.
Initially numbered as IKN 022 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
