Full Description

Seven quarry pits, probably of Post Medieval date, are visible in fields either side of Potkiln lane, at TM 43515504, TM 43455498, TM 43485493, TM 43675488, TM 43515473, TM 43475469 and TM 43315473 (S1). Two of the southernmost pits are recorded on the 1st edition 25" map as crag pits and a gravel pit is also shown with the northernmost pits (S2).
