Full Description
A World War II strongpoint covering a obstructed beach was visible at TM 516785. The strongpoint (started in 1940) comprises a probable pillbox at TM 51697852, with associated trenches, within barbed wire and overlooking a line of tank cubes extending northeast to TM 517786, blocking a gap in the cliffs at this point (S1-2). The features have susequently been eroded away.
Initially numbered as EBV 017 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
